Christmas Goodies

As swiftly as the holiday season came upon us, it is now gone. Can't say that I am sad about it, really. Just a lot of stress and running around. Let's see- what loot did I get?

I finally got a Pandora bracelet!!! I have been wanting one for a while, but my hinting finally worked and fiance got it for me :-) He also picked out season appropriate charms:

I love it so far, cannot wait to fill it up!

I also received: clothes, gift cards to various stores, bar stools for our breakfast bar, a wedding themed Norman Rockwell painting, and numerous other things that I don't feel like listing. You get the idea. My favorite gift was a huge comfy new chair!! We used Christmas money and went to the store on the 26th to pick it out. So excited!! (I guess that is part of the growing up thing- I'm excited over a chair haha). Doesn't it look so warm and inviting?! It gets delivered tomorrow.
In other news- I am now in major wedding mode and diet for wedding mode. I went to the doctor today and the number on the scale was NOT close to the one I want to see, or the one I was seeing months ago. My eating habits have gotten so bad, it's time to get back on track. Other than dieting, I need to order the rest of the invitation materials because I have to start making those! Cannot believe that tomorrow is 5 months until the wedding! Where did all of my 30 months go- I was supposed to use those to their maximum potential! Gotta make up for it in January, I suppose.

I also have a cold and really want to feel better before New Year's Eve! Send good health vibes my way, please!

Hope everyone had a nice holiday!

First Post

I have wanted to start a blog for a while now, but never got around to it. Looking back, I wish I had documented the wedding planning a bit more than I have up to this point. We had the house blog while it was being built, but that has not been updated since May, so that doesn't count anymore. This blog will be a mish-mash of all different things, so hopefully you can follow along.
So to introduce myself to the blogging world: I am a 20-something almost-newlywed, doctoral student/almost alumnus, homeowner, novice chef, mommy of two cats who enjoys wedding planning, scrapbooking, cooking/baking, and crocheting. Go me!
