Top 2 Tuesday!

These are the toughest challenges for me!! Taylor at The Undometic Momma has us choosing just 2- it's so hard to pick just 2!!!

This week's topic: 2 Random Facts About Yourself

1. I have been a full time student since I was 6 years old- I am now 23, almost 24. I honestly don't know what I will do when I stop being graded and start working!!! I am also a little worried about having a job, I won't lie. This DPT degree better be worth it! :-P

2. I have never been on an airplane!! This will change in December when we fly to Orlando, then to St. Lucia, then back to Hartford. Guess I could have picked a shorter flight for my first time in an airplane...bt I have my fingers crossed it won't be bad!!

Oh and I have a new header. Just something I whipped up quickly in photoshop. I had to get rid of the boring (pretty much nonexistant) one that was there before!

Top 2 Tuesday!

So in an effort to get more involved in my blog (and to stop being a boring blogger) I am going to start to join in on daily postings!! Tuesdays will be "Top 2 Tuesdays", linked to Taylor at The Undomestic Momma. (Hi, nice to meet you!) I found her blog through a different blog and thought it would be interesting!! So here we go-

This week's topic: 2 Things You Can't Live Without

1. My laptop

Yes, I will admit I am one of those people that always has to check her email and facebook etc etc etc. We will see how I fare on our 2 week honeymoon- no computers!!
2. Hair Elastics

If I can't put my hair up I go crazy!!! I can't stand having hair in my face, especially at work. It's hard to treat patients if you can't see them!

Runners Up (Because it was very hard to pick 2!):

-Chap Stick
-Hand lotion
-Cell Phone
-Green Tea

Longest week...

One of my patients fell today, and even though it wasn't my fault and there was really nothing I could have done to prevent it, I still feel so so so bad. Man, I moved so fast to try and catch them that they landed on my foot- but there was nothing I could do. They are OK, even called the clinic to let us know. But still- holy...C..O..W...I hope that never ever ever happens to me again!! I also hope that they check their blood sugar before coming in for their next appointment...

Halfway through my internship. I'm not sure whether I should be happy or sad. I like it a lot at this facility, but it's always nice to be closer to the finish line.

Rsvp cards have been rolling in a few a day. The most we have gotten in one day so far is 9 and the least is 1. I hope that everyone keeps sending them in so I won't have to track people down at the end!!! *fingers crossed*

Losing friends

I might be 23 and almost married, but something I still struggle with is losing friends. Especially when there is no real reason for it- one person just stops talking to the other one.

I always thought I had a lot of friends, but as I look at the list for my bridal shower I only see 6 or 7 friends my age...2 from high school, a few from college, and a couple from dance. Now don't get me wrong, I love each and every one of them. I would not be the same without them. I just thought there were more than that.

Now in the case of my shower, I had a couple friends tell me they couldn't come and why, which was nice of them and I appreciate it. But there is one person in particular on there that has ignored my messages and any other means of communication for quite some time. We used to be really close, and then all of a sudden we weren't- no explanation. I sent an invite to the wedding but I am not holding my breath that she will be attending. I am not even holding my breath that I will get the RSVP card back. I am not losing sleep over the situation, but I have to wonder why it happened the way it did.

I will post a follow up when/if I get a response from this person for the wedding. Maybe some of you will be curious.

Has this happened to you before? How did you handle it?

I heart the mailperson!

I love love love coming home to find RSVP's waiting for me!!! The invites got delivered Monday, and we have been getting 2-3 responses a day since. Only 2 no's so far, I know more will come as time goes on. I appreciate the ones that aren't waiting until the last minute to get their responses to us.

Bridesmaids dresses are in! And I think all of my 'maids will be able to go together to try them on! Luckily they are all going to be in state for my bridal shower, so two birds-one stone!

And my bridal shower is getting closer by the day and I am getting more and more excited!!! I'm also a little nervous to be the center of attention, but so psyched to see everyone's hard work put together.

Invites mailed out!!

Fiance and I went to the post office yesterday morning to hand cancel and send out our invites!! And no, I did not request to hand cancel, the post office required it. It only took about 5 minutes to do our 111 invitations, and we left them with the woman at the front desk. Not gonna lie, it was almost a bittersweet moment mailing them- it is SO nice to get them off of our living room floor, but I have been working on them for so long if was sad to see them go! But now I get to stalk the mailbox for RSVPs (along with stalking our registries), so it is pretty exciting!!

My internship is going pretty well. 4 weeks done, 8 more to go. I am learning as I go along, hopefully by the end of the next 8 weeks I will have a firm grasp on it all. I have to go meet the woman who I may be working with on my last internship to make sure I like the hospital and such before I commit to the internship. It will be a long day.

Good news- I might have a job for the month of May- keep your fingers crossed and send vibes my way!!
